How To Use the PTOT App (Passenger)

Commuting can be a daily challenge, especially in bustling roads of Metro Manila where crowded vehicles, and unpredictable schedules are the norm. The PTOT App will be Station PTOT's primary platform to deliver its transportation services connecting public commuters and our Transport Service Partners. The we aim to address these issues by providing a reliable, user-friendly platform designed to simplify your commute through the PTOT App.

In this guide, we’ll walk you through every step of how it would be like to use the PTOT App where we hope for you to experience a new level of comfort, consistency, and confidence in your commute, turning a once hectic experience into a smooth and enjoyable part of your day. Please do take note that this guide was done during our mock-up phase. This is not a comprehensive guide, yet. Our goal in this is to help you visualize what will happen when we get the ball rolling! Here we go!

How To Use the PTOT App (Passenger)

Step 1:

After downloading the PTOT App, standard login procedure must be followed. Your account in the PTOT App will highly rely on the phone number you will be providing make sure it’s correct and active.

Moreover, agreeing in the Terms and Privacy Policy would grant the PTOT App access to your GPS location to provide you with better service. Read more about its content for more information.

Step 2:

Upon successfully logging in and signing-up, you’ll be taken in the app’s Home Screen where you are prompted to pick a route. Routes in the PTOT App are the familiar routes taken by the familiar public commute. In the future, we will integrate a search function so that the burden of picking route shouldn’t be on your end. For now, we have this, let’s say you pick a route going from Litex to T.M. Kalaw.

Step 3:

After successfully picking a route, you’ll be prompted to pick your ideal pick-up location. What are shown here are what we call “stations” or simply, the proper loading and unloading zones for your commute route. Take note that our service will not be allowing you to load or unload anywhere but only in the designated stations. This is to promote discipline, safety, and instill consistency in the service. Estimated pick-up times will be present to each station allowing you to confidently track when you will get to ride.

It is also important that when you confirm your ride, you are already in the station as the PTOT Transport Service Partner will only stop and wait at the station for 1 minute. Then they will go and either you’re successful loading or your ride will be cancelled.

In the future, we will take initiatives that ensures you are extra safe and comfortable in the designated stations.

Step 4:

Similarly, in this stage you are prompted to pick your ideal drop-off location based on your destination. We know there might be a large difference on where you currently are, where you want to actually drop-off, and where our stations are. We are continuously improving our services so that we can deliver you the public transportation service you deserve.

Step 5:

After confirming your pick-up and drop-off locations, you’ll be prompted to actually confirm your ride. This will show estimated time of pick-up and drop-off and total fare that you can pay the driver during loading. We hope to handle your payments in the future so that even more less friction is present during your commute experience.

Step 6:

Now, you’re simply going to wait for your pick-up. We are working really hard to ensure our estimation times are accurate so that you understand when you will miss a beat in the important matters of your work or school. So, rest assured that you can trust our estimated times! #PandPTransportationOnTrack

Moreover, during loading, our partner drivers will greet you and confirm your name. After so, you are expected to settle the ride payment at the very beginning. This is to ensure that you no longer have any worries after taking your seat and you can rest easy knowing everything is taken care of.

In our server side, we ensure that passengers and transport service partners align. We keep track how many passengers are already in a ride and if there are still room assigning them to our partners. Else, they will be assigned on the next approaching transport service partner. This process ensure that the system is optimized, and service is delivered where it is due. So, no need to worry about cancelling or if the ride is already full, we will manage things for you and ensure you’ve got a reliable and comfortable commute experience. We got your back!

Step 7:

Now, you’re simply going to rest easy while waiting to arrive at your drop-off point. We will ensure that your commute experience with us will be exquisite and phenomenal where it’s spacious and not hot. You can now rest, review, and redeem your composure preparing for your big day at work or your school.

Also make sure to keep things quiet as you are in a shared ride with other passengers also present. Be sure to be considerate with others allowing us to foster a more welcoming and meaningful community.

Step 8:

We’re now at your drop-off station! Whew, what a hassle during the commute, or was it? We will be working really hard so that one day, you can say your commute wasn’t a hassle at all. Your ride is now complete, we ought to get some feedback here about your experience, where you can tell us ways about how we can serve you better!

The app will now go back to its original state where you are to pick again a route and ready for your next commute! We want you to come back and use our services again whenever you need, we will work hard to convince you to make us your daily commute solution!
